El Divo Havanese on occasion does have puppies for placement to select families. Placement of puppies to perspective families is based on the lifestyle of the inquiring family. Puppies are monitored carefully from birth to determine what kind of home would be best for each puppy.
El Divo selects dogs for breedings to allow for the next generation of show dogs. The ideal traits for a show dog are exactly the same traits any prospective owner would want in a family pet. First and foremost in selection is temperment. All dogs selected are of sound mind. Physical structure and breed characteristics are reviewed to further identify a breeding combination that will produce outstanding examples of the Havanese breed. The last consideration when breeding is color. Havanese come in all colors but that should not be the deciding factor when selecting a puppy. Great dogs come in all colors.
